February 2026

This was a month of celebration— parties and love all around plus the birthday month for our daughter, who turned eight. But i swear she was just born.

If you haven’t heard, February is the new January. Because the first month of the year is to get all the kinks out— so we tried to kick into gear our 2026 glow-up this month. We went on family beach adventures, made time for walks, workouts, hikes with friends, as well as focused on doing what brings us joy— as individuals and as a family.

The first half of February was focused on prioritizing family time with more beach adventures, UH basketball games, playing sports, bike rides, DnB fun, and of course, Punahou Carnival. Fortunately, I eveb got to join Kolby on a field trip to the Children’s Discovery Center with his class.

Then bam! It was time to celebrEIGHT our birthday girl! That weekend was jam-packed with baking, soccer, baseball, more baking, birthday breakfast, a karaoke party with the afterparty at DnBs, a girls day date, and family dinner at our favorite place to celebrate special occasions, Buzz’s Steakhouse in Kailua. We had an absolute blast celebrating our first born.

Our go to family celebration spot is a short drive from our home. Of course, we love the convenience, but we would drive across the island to enjoy Buzz’s Steakhouse because it’s that good. The ambience, the staff, the consistency of the food, and the delicious drinks— Kendyl’s favorite is their Fruit Punch, have us finding any excuse to go there.

Throughout the month, I did a little “revamp” of our living space. and I can confidently say I love it. Made the dining table the center focal point of the living room, created a work wall for me, cleaned out the kids room, and made myself a lei workshop on our patio. Only took me ten years to figure out what to do with our ill-sized patio.
